Big Data is the latest technology that is gaining new light in software technology. Its importance, way of access and collection of Data brought many changes in the Tech Companies. But, also increasing the risk and misuse of collected data. Recent studies have shown that without the approval of customers data is being collected by these companies which are used according to their need. Most recent data leaks that came into the light is The Cambridge Analytica and Facebook scandal showed the weak side of the system, i.e, how Data or information can be misused.

Valid privacy measures and disciplinary laws need to be set in place so that companies would be more cautious with user data. Data must only be used with consumer/user consent. This stored information is sent via servers and companies analyze the data which is collected and draw a pattern using Data Science and use against users in influencing to buy products, services etc, majorly these collected data is used to tune advertisement behaviour and other viewing experience of the users and makes tons of money by advertising using our own data.
In recent times, Some major internet companies are misusing user data and influencing users because of the unauthentic behaviour of these companies. Countries are preparing Data protection laws to protect citizens from these types of scandals.

Data which is collected with the consent of users should be in encrypted form and to be protected by the Firewalls
Big Data companies should employ industry certified cybersecurity experts to protect the servers from Hackers.
Companies should create awareness for users on how to protect their data from theft and usage policies, privacy policies and permissions of the device.

Big data companies must provide security updates to their apps, services or devices to protect from the unidentified data thefts, data breaches and from hackers
Every company collects data to improve the user experience, some misuse the data or use against the user for benefits but it is our responsibility to know the permissions used by the app or devices what to give and what not to give access, as advertisements and services are going to depend on these Big Data companies, we should be careful in giving access to them and should make a quick audit of privacy every month.
