The Gollala Mamidada Educational Society, under the auspices of Ln. D.R.K.Reddy, Founder and Honorary President, Life Member of Andhra University Academic Senate, established D.L.Reddy Degree College in the year 1991 with the noble purpose of imparting higher education to the rural people at a lower cost.
It is one of the premier institutions in East Godavari District, recognized for discipline and academic excellence. The college is located at Gollala Mamidada, an absolutely pollution free area. Under the dynamic leadership of Ln. D. Vivekananda Reddy, Secretary and Correspondent of college have been accorded permanent affiliation by Andhra University in 1995. The college has been elevated to Post-Graduate level in the year 1993-94 itself. The Institution has been included under 2F and 12B of the UGC Act and receiving financial assistance under various schemes for the development of the college.
