While gross anatomy is the study of anatomical structures that can be seen by unaided vision, microscopic anatomy is the study of minute anatomical structures assisted with microscopes, including histology (the study of the organization of tissues), and cytology (the study of cells). The department is actively pursuing introducing advanced learning and teaching method into the under graduate and post graduate teaching. A specialized computer aided dissection lab has been established to cater to the learning and research requirements of the students. The faculty have been honored by Faimer Fellowships and several cytogenitics projects are on the anvil.
