The College was established with a view to cater for the needs of ageing masses in a rural and urban area in Buldhana Dist. through a Homoeopathic and Bio-Chemic system of medicines from 1959 when there was a dearth of medical practitioners and also lack of transportation. The college was recognized under the provisions of the Homoeopathic and Bio-Chemic Practitioners Act1959, was affiliated to the Court of Examiners of Homoeopathic and Bio-Chemic systems of Medicine, Mumbai for conducting the Diploma course in Homoeopathic and Bio-Chemic systems of Medicine of Two years and Three Years Duration.

Since 1973 The college has switched over to the Diploma Course in Homoeopathic Medicine and Surgery of Four Years duration. In the year 1983, the Central Council of Homoeopathy New Delhi has framed the regulations to start uniform courses of Homoeopathy education throughout India. viz. D.H.M.S., B.H.M.S. and Graded B.H.M.S.

The Govt. of Maharashtra was pleased to grant permission to this institute to conduct BHMS Bachelor of Homoeopathic Medicine and Surgery, a degree course of Five and Half Years Duration Including One Year Internship. And was affiliated with Sant Gadge Baba Amravati University, Amravati and since 1998 is affiliated with Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, Nashik.

The Post Graduate Courses (M.D. Homoeopathy) in Five speciality subjects viz. Homoeopathic Philosophy, Materia Medica, Repertory, Practice of Medicine and Paediatrics as framed by the Central Council of Homoeopathy, New Delhi, has been started since 2002-2003. And was affiliated with Sant Gadge Baba Amravati University, Amravati and since 2006-2007 is affiliated with Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, Nashik.
