Shri Shivaji College of Education was established in June 1960 and is run by well known Shri Shivaji Education Society, Amravati founded by Dr. Panjabrao Deshmukh. The college is affiliated with Sant Gadge Baba Amravati University, Amravati (M.S.) India and is located in the heart of Amravati city on old N. H. no. 6. The college has a two-storied building, a huge playground, boy’s and girl’s hostels, and ample resources required for Education and Physical Education studies.

The principal and the staff of the college always take initiative to conduct various activities and exert for the betterment of student’s mental and physical performance. Our college has also started the computer education course recognized by Maharashtra Government looking towards the need of society. Education, Physical Education, Yoga Education, and Computer Education are the departments we have as the academic units. All of the courses are getting overwhelming responses from every nook and corner of the district and nation. The Executive Committee of the National Assessment and Accreditation Council on the recommendation of the duly appointed peer Team is pleased to declare the Shri. Shivaji College of Education, Amravati Accredited at the B ++ level. On the Date February 28, 2005.
