Assam Down Town University placement cell facilitates campus placements to create job opportunities for students. The placement cell also imparts training in soft skills, personality development, written and oral skills, and overall employment trends in the public and corporate sectors. The placement cell at Assam Down Town University makes information available to students about employment opportunities in India and abroad. Placement interviews are arranged on campus, off-campus and pool campuses.

In addition, ADTU Guwahati organises the largest PhD placement drive in northeast India every year for face-to-face interaction of students with various job providers across the country. The placement committee is a body consisting of faculty and students that has been formed to interact with companies continuing to run best-fit career opportunities for the students of the University. They assist in relationship building with industries/Govt. organisations for summer training, internship, and final placement.
