Fees Details:
The application fees for OICL AO Recruitment 2024 are as follows:
- For SC/ST/PwBD category candidates: Rs 250
- For all other categories: Rs 1000

Age Limit Summary:
To apply for the OICL AO Recruitment 2024, candidates must be between 21 and 30 years of age as of December 31, 2023.

Selection Procedure:
Phase-I: Preliminary Examination
The Preliminary Examination will be conducted online and will consist of Objective Tests for a total of 100 marks. It comprises three sections, each with separate timings:
- English Language: 30 Marks (20 minutes)
- Reasoning Ability: 35 Marks (20 minutes)
- Quantitative Aptitude: 35 Marks (20 minutes)
Candidates must pass each section to qualify for the Main Examination, with approximately 20 times the number of vacancies shortlisted for advancement.
Phase-II: Main Examination
The Main Examination consists of Objective Tests for 200 marks and a Descriptive Test for 30 marks, both conducted online. The Objective Test includes the following sections:
- Test of Reasoning
- Test of English Language
- Test of General Awareness
- Test of Quantitative Aptitude
- Additional Test for technical & professional knowledge (in specialist streams)
- There will be a 0.25 negative mark for each incorrect response.
The Oriental Insurance Company Limited will conduct an online descriptive test for OICL AO for 30 marks, lasting 30 minutes.
- Letter Writing: 10 Marks
- Essay: 20 Marks
Phase-III: Interview
Candidates shortlisted after Phase-II will undergo an Interview, with up to three times the number of vacancies being filled. The weightage of the Online Examination and Interview is 80:20, respectively.
Final Selection:
Final selection is based on the consolidated marks of the Main Examination (Objective Test) and Interview. A merit list will be prepared based on candidates' scores, and those falling within the number of vacancies will be considered for appointment. A waiting list of candidates may also be prepared for potential future vacancies.
Other Details:
Service Conditions: The company's prevailing rules apply, with selected candidates subject to potential postings or transfers anywhere in India.
Probation: Officers serve a one-year probation, extendable twice for six months each. They must pass the non-life "Licentiate Examination" during probation, with failure leading to termination.
Guarantee Bond: Selected candidates commit to a four-year service, including probation, with liquidated damages for early resignation. Resignations during probation incur additional costs.
Emoluments & Benefits: Officers receive a basic pay of Rs. 50,925 with additional benefits, including accommodation, pension, gratuity, medical benefits, and group personal accident insurance. Total emoluments are approximately Rs. 85,000 per month in metropolitan centres.
