Srinivas University Mangalore is a private research university established in 2013 in Karnataka. The Karnataka State Act established it. The A. Shama Rao Foundation, a private charitable trust established in 1988 by renowned chartered accountant A. Raghavendra Rao, launched the Srinivas Group of Institutions, with Srinivas University serving as its flagship. Srinivas University is recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).
