The selection process for all the available law programmes is strictly based on merit in the respective entrance exams. The admissions to the different UG/PG programmes will be done based on the performance in Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2020. To be eligible for the course of B.ALL.B and B.B.ALL.B, candidates need to meet the eligibility criteria for CLAT 2020. The same have been mentioned below:

• There is no upper age limit.
• Candidates must have passed 10+2.
• Score in 10+2 must not be less than 45% marks or equivalent in case of candidates belonging to General/OBC/PWD/NRI/PIO/OCI categories.
• Minimum score for candidates belonging to SC/ST categories is 40% marks or equivalent.
• Candidates appearing in the qualifying examination in March or April 2020 may also apply. They must note that the required evidence of their passing of qualifying exam shall be produced at the time of admission.
• If the candidate fails to do the same, he/she shall not be considered for admission.
• In case of equal marks, the seat shall be given to the candidate with higher marks in the legal aptitude section of CLAT 2020, higher age and through computerised draw of lots.

NLUO Cuttack B.A.LL.B/B.B.ALL.B/LL.M Application Process 2020

Candidates applying for BA LL.B, B.B.ALL.B and LL.M must appear for CLAT 2020. The application process of the same entails the following steps:

• The application needs to be submitted online through the official website of its conducting body.
• The candidates must first register using their mobile number or email id after which an OTP will be sent to the mobile number for validation. Login using the same number and password.
• Fill the form carefully as no editing will be allowed after successful submission of the form. Candidates must select the preference for the NLUs and the centre of the entrance test.

Candidates seeking admission to the LL.M course offered by NLUO Cuttack must go through the below-mentioned criteria and see if they meet them:

• Must have an LL.B degree or equivalent
• Must have obtained not less than 50 per cent marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade for candidates belonging to General/OBC/PWD/PIO/OCI/NRI categories.
• 45% marks for candidates belonging to SC/ST categories.
• Candidates appearing in the qualifying exam in April/May 2020 may also apply.
• There is no upper age limit.

NLUO Cuttack B.ALL.B/B.B.ALL.B/LL.M Selection Process 2020

Selection of candidates for B.ALL.B, B.B.ALL.B and LL.M will be selected on the basis of the rank obtained in CLAT 2020. Based on the same, online counselling shall be done.

• An applicant seeking admission to the PhD programme offered by NLUO Cuttack must fulfil the below-mentioned criteria:
• A Master's degree in law from a recognised university with not less than 50% marks or equivalent grade, or
• Degree in law and a Master's degree in Humanities or Social Science, Management Studies or Sciences from a recognised university with at least 55% marks or equivalent grade, or
• A masters' degree in social sciences, management studies or humanities with not less than 55% marks from a recognised university. The candidate must also have at least two years of work experience in teaching or PhD in any discipline.
• A relaxation of 5% marks from 55% shall be offered to candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer) and differently-abled categories.

NLUO Cuttack PhD Application Process 2020

The application procedure for the PhD course is different from that for the undergraduate courses. Eligible candidates may download applications from the official website of the university which shall be duly filled-in, signed and submitted along with a demand draft of Rs 1000 in favour of Registrar, National Law University Odisha. The same shall be payable at Cuttack.
In addition to that, the following should be submitted:

• An outline of the research
• A chapter-wise proposal of the intended research in not more than 2,000 words.
• If applicable, a certificate from the institution concerned testifying length of service
• Attested photocopies of all degrees and mark sheets,
• one set of published monographs, papers, books and articles, if any.

NLUO Cuttack PhD Selection Process 2020

The selection for PhD aspirants shall be done on the basis of an admission test held every year at Cuttack. Candidates who have cleared UGC NET examination shall be exempted from the admission test. Performance of the candidates in the admission test shall be considered to offer admission to candidates. The same shall be assessed by the University's panel of experts.
