Maharaja Arts and Science College Coimbatore was founded in 1998 by the Erode-based Paramasivam Palanisamy Charitable Trust. The UGC recognises the institution under sections 2(f) and 12(B), it is certified by the AICTE in New Delhi, and it is affiliated with Bharathiar University in Coimbatore. Thiru. K. Paramasivam, B.Sc., is the college's founder and chairman. He is a prominent businessman, educator, and compassionate philanthropist. The institution is devoted to provide higher education in the fields of Engineering, Arts, Science, Commerce, and Management.
