The Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings is an annual publication that ranks universities worldwide based on several key indicators of academic performance and reputation. The rankings provide a comprehensive overview of the global higher education landscape and are widely recognized as one of the most influential university rankings. To ensure the rankings are accurate, the researchers studied more than 121 million citations from over 15.5 million research papers and got feedback from 40,000 scholars worldwide. They collected massive information, with over 680,000 data points from more than 2,500 participating universities.

Shanmugha Arts, Science, Technology and Research Academy, also commonly known as SASTRA University, is a private and deemed university located in Thanjavur district, Tamil Nadu.
