St Peters College, Ernakulam
The College is named after St. Peter, the apostle of peace and harmony. The College derives its inspiration from St. Peter’s & St. Paul’s Orthodox Syrian Church, Kolenchery. It was in the meeting held on 9th February 1964 at this church the idea of applying for a Junior College in Kolenchery was mooted. A committee consisting of Sri. C.P. Issac (Chairman), Sri. P.M. Paily Pillai (Secretary), and Sri. C. V. Jacob (Treasurer) were authorized to proceed with the dream project.
