HISTORY OF BHARATI VIDYAPEETH
Dr. Patangrao Kadam established Bharati Vidyapeeth in Pune in 1964. The mission that Bharati Vidyapeeth has defined for itself is to bring about intellectual awakening of people through the spread of education and to prepare human resources needed for all round development, particularly economic, of the country.

ACCREDITATION AND AFFILIATION
Bharati Vidyapeeth College of Pharmacy is permanently affiliated to University of Mumbai. It is an unaided institute, conducting Graduate, Post-graduate and Doctoral programmes in Pharmaceutical Sciences. The College is accreditated by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA), New Delhi.
The College has been granted approval by the All India Council for Technical Education, New Delhi, which is the apex body controlling technical and professional education in the country. The College has also been recognized by the University Grants Commission under Sections 2(f) and 12 (B) of its Act. The College and its degrees are also approved by the Pharmacy Council of India, New Delhi. The College is listed among Top 75 Pharmacy Colleges in India. (Ref: survey published in Career 360). Recognition by all the three apex bodies bears a testimony to a very high level of academic excellence the college has achieved.

Admissions are conducted by Centralized Admission Procedure (CAP) governed by Directorate of Technical Education DTE, Maharashtra
Seats: The annual intake is of 60 students.
Eligibility Criterion:- Directorate of Technical Education, Maharashtra State and University of Mumbai decides the eligibility, rules and procedure for admission to D. Pharm., B. Pharm., M. Pharm., Doctorate , programme from time to time.
