Calicut University conducts CUCAT 2023, also known as Calicut University Common Admission Test for admissions in 50 various programmes offered in different Calicut University departments, university centres and affiliated colleges. There will be separate entrance tests for various PG, Integrated PG, BPEd, BPEd, Integrated (four years) & LLM with double specialisation programmes. The programmes are clubbed into four different sessions. A candidate can opt for only one programme from each session, up to a maximum of four programmes. An applicant can opt for only a maximum of ten different departments/university centres/affiliated colleges from among the chosen four programmes. CUCAT will be conducted only for those programmes in which the number of applications is more than four times the sanctioned number of seats. Otherwise, admission will be based on the rank list prepared using the indexing formula of qualifying examination marks.

• To start with the Calicut University CUCAT admission process, candidates need to meet the eligibility criteria set.
• Candidates need to register themselves first, fill up the application form and fees and then appear for the CUCAT conducted by Calicut University itself.
• In the first step, candidates need to verify their mobile numbers using OTP.
• In the second step, candidates need to create a CAP ID by providing the basic details using the "New User (Create CAP ID)" link provided on the MBA 2023 registration page. After successful submission of the details, a CAP ID and Password will be sent to the registered mobile number.

• After the CAP ID and password is created, the candidate can log in and fill out the Calicut University application form by providing the required data. At this moment candidates need to select the district where they wish to give the CUCAT.
• Candidates then need to click on the "Finalise & Proceed to Payment" button and make payment.
• During the payment, the website will be redirected to the Calicut University Instant Web Payment System (CUIWPS) page where the candidate can select the desired choice of payment.
• After successful payment, candidates can take the printout of the application after re-login by using the CAP ID and Password.
• To consider the Calicut University application process complete, a candidate should have a finalised printout showing the approved stamp on the candidate's photo.
• After the Calicut University application process, candidates need to look for the opted district's test centres beforehand for ease of transportation. There will be test centres in Thiruvananthapuram, Thrissur, Palakkad, Malappuram, Kozhikode, Wayanad and Kannur districts. The applicants can opt for the district for the CUCAT examination.
• Candidates can download hall tickets for the entrance examination from the Calicut University official website five days before the date of commencement of the entrance examination.
• After the exams are over, a merit list will be released by the university after the declaration of the result. The merit list will be the basis on which the seats will be allocated.
• Candidates need to meet the required cut off to get shortlisted. Shortlisted candidates then need to sit on counselling sessions select their departments, university centres or affiliated college and complete the admission process by paying the course fees and going through the document verification process.
