Govt Kilpauk Medical College Admissions
The admissions to both UG and PG courses will be done solely based on marks obtained in NEET UG and NEET PG respectively after the candidate has fulfilled the necessary eligibility criteria. Admissions to the Super Speciality course is based on the NEET SS examination. Applications are accepted online.

Govt Kilpauk Medical College Facilities
GKMC provides adequate facilities ensuring the comfort and quality education of the students. Some of the facilities provided by the college include:
- Hostels: Hostels for both women and men are provided. The women’s and men’s hostels have an intake capacity of 129 and 229 students respectively. Both the hostels are provided with double and triple rooms, overhead tanks, and electric motors. It also provides other basic facilities like kitchen, dining hall, bathrooms, badminton court, indoor games, guest rooms, internet/ Wi-Fi, and so on.
- Central Library: The e-library of the college is fully functional. There are roughly about 17,000 books and also other facilities like the Internet (Dial-up), Television, Video-cum-Recorder, and Xerox copying. There are 2 rooms and also a Stack Room which is further used to stack 10,000 back volumes of periodicals and old books.
- Lecture Halls: There are around 13 lecture halls for various departments with a total intake capacity of 1620 students. The lecture halls are well furnished with air conditioning and quality sound systems.
- Canteen: The campus has three main canteens for snacks, vegetarian and non-vegetarian meals, coffee, tea, ice cream, pizzas, burgers, noodles, etc.
- Sports: Various indoor and outdoor sports facilities are provided to the students so that they recharge and freshen up their minds in between their busy schedules.
- Hospital: The hospital is present within the same campus of the college and it contains all the facilities like proper medical equipment, an adequate number of medical staff like doctors, nurses, technicians as well as the availability of all necessary medicines in the pharmacy.
- Guest House: Guest houses are provided for the parents and guardians of the students and have a nominal rent. The guest house has all the necessities in it.
- Transportation: The college has an adequate number of buses for the students and staff members.
