It is a National Law University established in India by The Maharashtra National Law University Act 2014, passed by Maharashtra Legislature under the Maharashtra Act No VI of 2014.

B.A., LL.B. (Hons.)

For the Academic Year 2019-20, admission to undergraduate programme – 5 years integrated B.A., LL.B. (Hons.) and post-graduate programme- One year LL.M., at Maharashtra National Law University Mumbai is held through Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) on merit basis. LL.M. :

MNLU Mumbai offers a five-year integrated B.A LL.B.(Hons.) course. Admissions are through Common Law Admission Test.^[1] There 100 seats filled up by CLAT and 20 supernumerary seats are reserved for Foreign National/ NRI/ NRI Sponsored. Additionally, two supernumerary seats are reserved for Permanent Residents of Jammu and Kashmir. The University follows Maharashtra Reservation Policy.MNLU Mumbai also offers a one-year LL. M. course in Corporate and Commercial Laws.

M.A. Mediation and Conflict Resolution

About the programme:

The concepts of Mediation are inspired by learnings from multiple disciplines, such as law, psychology, commerce, sociology, political science, neuro-biology, economics, history, etc. The two-year masters course will introduce participants to various theories of Mediation and their applications in the real-world. With 16-odd modules, spread across four semesters, participants will be exposed to modern trends and model teachings from Indian and International schools of research and practice. Participants will be acquainted and trained in the basics of mediation, specialized negotiation skills, effective communication tools, diplomatic strategizing, advanced online tools, and restorative facilitation techniques. The course will also explore the socio-political-legal paradigm of conflict, look at conflict resolution from a religious lens and discuss the psycho-neuro-cognitive development of a conflict resolution professional

INFRASTRUCTURE

MNLU Mumbai completed its first two years at the renowned Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai and continues the journey at its new campus at prestigious CETTM (Centre for Excellence in Telecom Training and Management) located in Hiranandani Gardens, Powai, Mumbai. This is one of the biggest telecom training centres in Asia. The campus location is proximate to IIT Bombay and 13 km from Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport. The current campus spaces of the university in the sprawling CETTM tower are two floors admeasuring 26280.10 sq.ft.

The University shares various facilities with this distinguished institution. The Academic block has classrooms designed in cafeteria style to foster the culture of active learning and participation. Further, there are fully equipped Moot Court Hall, Conference Hall, Mediation Centre, Legal Services Clinic, Internship Cell and much more, with a possibility to meet the demands of transnational learning.

The University is also granted a fully furnished hostel with one hundred rooms in the residential block of CETTM Training Hostel situated just across the road. The licensor has further agreed to provide the University additional 50 rooms each year as and when new batches of students join the University. The Residential Block includes fully furnished and spacious double-seater hostel rooms with balcony. The hostel complex features a sprawling lobby, recreation room and area for a variety of sports. There are two dining halls with 500+ seating capacity.

CETTM premises be University’s new destination till it is ready to move over to the permanent campus at Gorai where 60 acres of land has been allotted by the Government of Maharashtra.
