Pearl Academy Mumbai offers three-four year full-time UG Pathway, two-year full-time PG Pathway and Eleven Month full-time Professional courses of Higher Learning in the field of design, business, fashion, media, and retail industry.

Candidates seeking admission to these programs can apply for the same through the official website of the Institute by filling up the required information. Pear Academy offers the following scholarships to candidates in order to make education easily accessible for all:

  • Media Scholarship: 50% scholarship on the tuition fee for the entire course (net 33% scholarship on total fee) will be offered to the candidates scoring more than 50% marks in the Media Scholarship Test. This Scholarship is available for UG Pathway and PG Pathway courses in Media & Communication and Advertising & Marketing.
  • Merit-cum-means Scholarship: Offered to the students with economically poor background whose family income is less than Rs. 6 LPA.
  • Chairman’s Scholarship: Offered to the deserving candidates under the Chairman’s fund who is economically poor and academically strong. Preference is given to the wards of Single parents.
  • Merit Scholarship: Available for the toppers of various courses offered by the Institute.

Q What is the pattern of admission test?

Stage 1:
Written Admission Test GPT, DAT & MAT

General Proficiency Test (GPT)

evaluates a candidate’s proficiency in the English language, Logical reasoning, Quantitative Ability & Data Interpretation.

Design Aptitude Test (DAT)

evaluates a candidates’ aptitude for creativity, drawing, design ability, power of observation and imagination, sensitivity to environment and communication skills.

Media Aptitude Test (MAT)

evaluates a media school applicant's aptitude for creative thinking (ideation on branding or advertisement or campaign), visual expression (logo design or dialogues & expressions writing: screenplay), command over language (short report writing), and power of observation (human behavior or visual elements).

Stage 2:
Personal Interview (including portfolio evaluation / material handling skill test for Design streams).

All candidates are required to undergo a Personal Interview after the Written Admission Test at their respective Entrance Examination center /Personal Interview center’s mentioned on their Admit Card.

Q Is there another criterion where I can qualify for admissions without giving entrance exams?

In the event you don’t get your 1st choice of program / campus, you will be offered your 2nd choice based on your rank / merit list. You may also apply afresh for the next Admission Cycle.

Q Can I get admission with advanced standing / credit transfer for other studies I’ve done?

Yes, You may apply for lateral admission to Pearl Academy via Accreditation of Prior Learning (APL) entry. Pearl’s APL Admission Panel will carry out an assessment of your learning outcomes for lateral entry / admission and you will be required to appear for an interview if approved by the Panel.

Q Can I block my seat through the Industry Sponsored category?

Q What are the withdrawal guidelines for the Academy?

Duly filled application for withdrawal from the program has to be submitted online and our Student Development Service team will get in touch with you. No other mode of request would be considered.

Q What is the admission criterion for international students?

Foreign Nationals [Foreign passport holder] or Person of Indian Origin (PIO) or Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) will be considered under the International category. This is irrespective of the country from where they have studied and passed the qualifying examinations.

The eligibility for any UG programme is 10+2 and PG would be graduate from the college.

The Written Entrance Examination is waived-off for International Candidates. International candidates are required to appear for an Interview and Portfolio Evaluation only.

Q Does Pearl provide hostel facilities?

No, Pearl Academy does not provide hostel facilities for students however. Pearl is acting as a facilitator to enable students to obtain hostel accommodation.

ZR Management Pvt. Ltd (“CoHo”) shall autonomously manage its hostel premises (“CoHo Premises”) and students shall be required to pay charges for usage of CoHo Premises directly to CoHo. There will be a direct contractual relationship between CoHo as a hostel accommodation provider and the Student as a resident. Students and parents shall directly deal with CoHo for any service issues, defects and/or any other matters or disputes arising out of or in connection with CoHo Premises or the contract with CoHo.

Each student/parent shall make his/her independent assessment with respect to CoHo Premises and decide the terms on which it wishes to avail the hostel accommodation services, based on representations, warranties, covenants and undertakings provided by CoHo. Pearl shall have no responsibility or liability whatsoever in respect of any claims, actions, demands or losses, direct or indirect, arising out of or in connection with, the CoHo premises or the contract between CoHo and the students. For the avoidance of doubt, it is clarified that all mandatory compliances including in relation to fire, municipal corporation, maintenance, housekeeping, security, warden etc. shall be under the management and supervision of CoHo and CoHo shall be ultimately responsible for all legal and regulatory compliance. It will be the student’s responsibility and obligation to follow any guidelines provided by CoHo in relation to CoHo premises.
