About Us
Siddharth Law College, Gandhinagar is established by Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Education Society, in the capital city of Gujarat state in 1990, during the time of birth centenary year which was celebrated as “SOCIAL JUSTICE YEAR” (1990-1992) by the Government of India, for bringing socio-legal awareness particularly in the capital city of Gujarat and society in general.
Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Education Society felt the need for starting new Law Colleges in the rural and backward areas of Gujarat in the year 1984 as to bring Equality, Fraternity, Brotherhood and to provide Justice in the society and as a result the society had established Two Law Colleges, in Gandhinagar and Kamrej (Surat).
Since 1990 the college has rendered invaluable service in the field of legal education and Legal Services and effectively completed 24 years of its existence. It is the only three year Law College in the capital city of Gujarat state.
The institution has a goal of imparting quality based legal education to the Society at a large including weaker sections of urban & rural areas, Government Employees and also those who are not getting the opportunity to take legal education in the Capital city of Gujarat State
This premier institute of Law is located in Gandhinagar, capital city of Gujarat-one of India’s most economically dynamic state. It is considered an educational and industrial, governmental hub with high scope of employability. State legislature and various government and administrative offices are situated here. It has GIDC, Infocity, Giftcity, which are housing many big IT companies and industries and also various banking and financial institutions. Gandhinagar has a District and Sessions Court ,other Three Taluka courts functions at Kalol, Degham and Mansa. Gujarat high court is located just 20km away from Gandhinagar.
Government of Gujarat has developed a knowledge corridor in Gandhinagar region. There are all streams of colleges and universities available in the city including national and international institutes. Gandhinagar’s education level is highest in Gujarat. And in last few years, there have seen a strong push by colleges and universities to become innovative and entrepreneurial! Various departments, colleges and institutions have developed academic industrial liaison with various research and business establishments.
The institution is affiliated to Gujarat University and covered under grant–in- aid scheme from 1996.
The college accredited with NAAC and having obtained “B” Grade. with CGPA 2.19 grade.
Our institution follows and implements all the rules and regulations of Bar Council of India, UGC, Gujarat University, Higher Education Department, KCG & Gujarat Government.
Achievement
Academic Achievements:
Mr. Rajan T Susra stood University Topper in LL.M Examination in 2013-14 and bagged 2 Gold Medals.
Ms. Ruta Desai stood topper in LL.B Semester- IV University Exam in 2013-14 and bagged Gold Medal.
Co-curricular Achievements:
Moot Court Activities
Mr. Anand Tailor and Ms. Sarita Kumar won Inter Law Collegiate Moot Court Competition organized by L.A Shah College in the year 2013-14. Ms. Sarita kumar received ‘Best Advocate’ Award in the Competition.
Curriculum Modification:
In the year 2014-15 Mr. Anand Tailor and Ms. Khyati Kumar won Inter Law Collegiate Moot Court Competition.
Other academic Activities:
Ms. Veena Mehta, Mr. Dinesh Mali and Mr. Harish Parmar won prizes in Saptadhara competitions held at S D arts and B R Commerce College, Mansa.
