Eligibility Criteria:
- Bachelor’s Degree from a recognised university.
- Additionally, candidates must demonstrate proficiency in stenography with a speed of 120 words per minute in either English or Hindi.
- Age limits vary from 30 years for UR/EWS candidates to 40 years for PwBD candidates, with relaxations for SC/ST/OBC candidates as per government norms.
Application Process:
- Applications must be submitted online through the official website: https://www.upsconline.nic.in.
- The closing date for submission of online applications is 27th March 2024.
- Candidates should ensure accurate and complete information is provided to avoid rejection.
Application Fee:
- Candidates (except Female/SC/ST/PwBD) must pay Rs. 25/-
- Payment modes: SBI branch cash deposit, net banking, cards, UPI.
- "Pay by Cash" mode ends one day before the closing date.
- Non-payment leads to rejection.
- Fees are non-refundable.
Selection Process:
- A written Recruitment Test (RT) is followed by a Skill Test.
- The RT will cover topics such as
- English Language,
- General Awareness,
- Quantitative Aptitude, and
- Reasoning & Computer Aptitude.
- Negative marking applies for wrong answers, with a deduction of one-third of the marks assigned to the question.
- 300 marks, which account for 100% weightage, will be assigned for the Recruitment Test.
- The Skill Test is compulsory that serves as a qualifying factor.
Recruitment Test Centres:
- The Recruitment Test will be conducted across various centres throughout India, including metropolitan cities and smaller towns.
- Applicants are advised to choose their preferred examination centre during the application process, keeping in mind the first-apply-first-allot basis.
Important OTR Instructions:
- Candidates can modify their OTR (One-Time Registration) profile only once after initial registration.
- The change in OTR profile data shall be available till the expiration of 7 days from the next day after the closure of the application window for his/her first final application for any examination of the Commission.
- For candidates applying for the Recruitment Test (RT) after registering on OTR, the last date for modification of OTR will be April 3, 2024.
