What’s new at JNTU Kakinada 2023?

The JNTU Kakinada AP ICET 2023 counselling schedule 2023 has been made available on the official website of the Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education. According to the announcement, online registration for the AP ICET 2023 counselling process will begin on September 08, 2023. JNTU Kakinada Admission - AP ICET Counselling 2023 Dates

Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Kakinada, also known as JNTUK, was established in the year 2008 by the State of Andhra Pradesh. The erstwhile College of Engineering Visakhapatnam is situated at Kakinada, Andhra Pradesh and became the constituent of JNTUH in 1972. As per the NIRF Ranking 2022, the university was placed in 129th rank in the engineering category with a score of 37.79. There is a total of 159 JNTUK affiliated colleges in five districts namely, East Godavari, West Godavari, Krishna, Guntur, and Prakasam. The university also has several higher learning institutes such as the Institute of Science and Technology (IST), the School of FoodTechnology(SFT) and the School of Management Studies(SMS).

The JNTUK campus is spread over 100 acres of land with adequate infrastructure like an auditorium, library, examination centre and learning resources. Some of the top JNTUK facilities include 71 spacious classrooms out of which 57 have LCD projectors and screens, 601 computers, IT labs, pharmacy labs, a 500-seater alumni auditorium, a 30-acre playground, an ATM, a canteen, a post office and so on and so forth.

JNTUK courses include B.Tech, B.Pharm and B.Arch courses at the undergraduate level and Pharm D, M.Tech, MPharma, MCA, MBA and management of applied management at the postgraduate level. JNTU Kakinada also offers research programmes in all engineering and science disciplines. Admissions at JNTUK is done on the basis of entrance exams. Candidates need to apply, appear, obtain a valid rank at the respective entrance examination and attend the requisite counselling session as part of the JNTUK admission process. Candidates have to appear for AP EAMCET 2023 to enroll their seats in the UG courses offered by the university. Similarly, candidates JNTUK admissions 2023 for PG courses will be done on the basis of AP PGECET 2023 for M.Tech, Pharm D, M.Pharma courses. For admission into MBA and MCA courses, candidates must obtain a valid rank in AP ICET 2023. Candidates can also take admission as B.Tech lateral entry by clearing the AP ECET 2023.

As per the JNTUK placement report 2022, a total of 441 students were placed out of 723. The medium salary offered to the UG four-year and UG five-year programmes was Rs 4,46,000 LPA and Rs 3,85,000 LPA. The median salary offered to the PG two-year programme was Rs 5,02,000 LPA as per the JNTUK placement drive 2022. A total of 88 UG students opted for higher students as well.
